Welcome...

Hello everyone,

Well this is our first time blogging, we are setting this up so everyone can follow our journey to our daughter, in China. We are SO excited about becoming first time parents. It's been so exciting & stressful (the good kind)!! We are looking forward to the next step. It's been a long wait for us (2 years!!) and we can't wait to meet our daughter.

Well, it's been a crazy 4 weeks! We got the phone call on Thursday, June 12 for our daughter...and it's been, sort of, non-stop since. All of our paperwork is in China and now we wait for our Travel Approval (TA) from China. This is when we need approval to go into the country.

We'll keep everyone updated as things happen.

Please keep Crystina in your prayers as she waits for us. Thanks!! : )

Congratulations! She's a cutie!

Our second daughter from China is also from Kunming. Her SN was a heart defect that turned out to be non-existent. She will be 3 in October. We have a 5 year old also from China. We used AWAA for both adoptions.

You will love Kunming!

Just Watching the two of you around Alvani & Joshua, makes me so proud to say, how fortunate Crystina is to have you as loving, caring, wonderful parents; (remember you are now officially, Papi y Mami).
As a first time baby-girl Grandma, you have no idea how Crystina's rosy cheeks have filled an emptiness in my heart. All these years the two of you have been in my prayers, patiently awaiting the day that you would tell me "Mami, you are going to be a Grandmother!".
Finally the day approaches when my "China" Crystina is going to be in my wide open arms. There is no doubt in my mind that my "China" has been bless with parents like you my son Edgar Jay and my daughter, Barbara Luz, my Grandma fever has already begun!!!
After ten years of Daddy's passing on July 06, 2008 I was very emotional as I watched you son, introduce with pride your daughter Crystina to your father, Carlos E. Figueroa. I want you to know that Daddy would have been so proud of you and would welcome "Our China" with open arms. His spirit is smiling upon your indescribable joy.
Wishing you, my son and daughter, a joyous, exciting, loving, safe trip to bringing my granddaughter Crystina home. My prayers are already with you.
HURRY HOME!!!
Loving You,
Grandma* Abuela
