Day 5 in China

Today we went to the Stone Forest, it was a 1 hour & 40 minute drive...Crystina slept half the way, so did I. It was very nice but we couldn't walk the park, it was raining. I'm sure there was lots more to see but the rain held us back. We had lunch at a hotel near there, it was okay. And then back to the hotel. Not much for today but we sure got lots more smiles and giggles from Crystina. She still is VERY attached to mommy, if I step foot out of her sight, she cries. Daddy has to bribe her with food. But she's coming around...I'm sure she'll be a daddy's girl!

I forgot to mention yesterday that Crystina had her first bath...and she liked it! She was playing with the water and the few bubbles from the soap. Today, as soon as I put her in the tub, she sat down to play with the water. We are so happy that she likes the water. Another first yesterday...she ate some french fries. And she loved them...of course, typical American child! ; )

Now, a first for me (Barbara)...I had to use a "squatty potty" today. And let me just say, what an adventure.........trying NOT to wet your pants or shoes. But I did it!

Our guide her in Kunming is nice but VERY protective of Crystina! I feel like she's not letting us be her parents. It's hard to explain but it's driving me NUTS! Edgar's been telling me, "just a few more days" but a few more days feels like such a long time. (had to get that out of my system)

Enjoy the pictures from today....

In front of our hotel...
Eating lunch... Yes, that is Peking Duck.
Check out her bib..."the princess has arrived!" Oh boy, we are in trouble!
At the Stone Forest...yes, it was chilly!
Scenery picture...

It was so much nicer in person...
She was our driver, in the Stone Forest...
Edgar recording all the nice shots.
More scenery pictures...

On the "bus" waiting for Edgar...
Heading back to the hotel...love that look!! Hungry baby...
This video was taken on the way back to the hotel...she's "talking." And no, there are NO car seats for babies, just hold on to them real tight!! (To listen, you will need to pause the music...just go all the way down to the playlist and click "pause")

Check out her top!! ; )
Playing and eating Cheerios!
Those cheeks...just want to bite them!
Eating a Cheerios...
In this video, you can see some of her personality...and you can hear her munching on some Cheerios. So cute!! (don't forget to pause the music)

In this video, I just wanted you all to hear her giggle. So cute!!

Hope you all enjoy the pictures and videos! Tomorrow we are going to a museum and some other stop. We are hoping that we get to see Crystina's finding spot. We agreed not to go to the orphanage...Crystina was in Foster Care until this past Friday (the day we got to China), besides I don't want to go and start crying in front of the orphanage people (nannies). Our guide told us today, that there are over 600 children in Crystina's orphanage, which is located right here in Kunming, the largest one in Yunnan. So sad!!!

Hope everyone is doing well. I'm feeling a little better, so THANK YOU for the prayers, they definitely worked. We are feeling a little homesick...I'm feeling it more than Edgar.......just one more week.

Miss you all dearly and can't wait to see who's going to be at the airport next Wednesday!! Much love being sent from China....God bless!!

Wow She' Gorgeous, Beautiful just an Angel.

Gianna, Ary Gabriel, Rene y Tatiana.

Too cute. It doesnt make any sense to be that cute, makes my teeth hurt. Yo Barbara!! You take some good pictures man!! I'm so jealous. You two should have taken me, I could have been like a man-nanny or a something. That duck looked real good, I might have to try it again. Don't forget my karate slippers Edgar! And make sure she listens to some James Brown and Big Daddy Kane, keep her well rounded. Peace to you three.
